Gudauri

Gudauri is Georgia's largest ski resort, in Kazbegi Municipality on the Georgian Military Road near the Jvari Pass (2,379 m). The settlement lies at about 2,196 m, and its lift system climbs from roughly 1,990 m at the lowest station to 3,279 m at Sadzele. The pistes run above the tree line, which gives Gudauri its reputation for deep snow and freeriding, and the lift network has been expanded several times since 2018. The ski season runs from December to April. The resort is 120 km from Tbilisi, around two and a half hours by road, and works in summer as a paragliding and mountain-biking destination.
